The team

Our workers come from a range of different professional backgrounds and experience. We all work together.

The team consists of:

1 Service Manager (part-time) who takes overall responsibility for managing the service and planning how it develops in the future.   (Does not work directly with aspire clients.)

2 Team Leaders who are each attached to a clinical team supporting and coordinating the work of that team and supervising the clinical staff team.

1 Clinical Psychologist (part-time) who can look at what people are experiencing from a psychological point of view and can advise the staff team on how to provide support or in some cases offer individual support to clients, in particular Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. There are also often assistant psychologists, and volunteers who help with service delivery and research.

1 Team Consultant Psychiatrist (part-time)  who supports the team in identifying and responding to changes in mental health, exploring and advising on the timely use of medication.  Offers advice and support to other services such as GPs.  From time to time, there may be additional psychiatrists working with the team due to training placements.

13 Case Coordinators assess, plan and review support in the initial stages. A key aspect of this work is supporting a person to make sense of there experiences. To help with this process they regularly organise reviews and offer support and information around psychosis for young people and their families.

5 Support Workers offer advice and support on all kinds of practical issues. This could be around housing, benefits, education, training, employment, or social issues like going out shopping, or for a meal.   They also organise group social activities.

3 Administration Officers(part-time) who provide administrative support to the service, including typing, statistical work and assistance with IT.
