If you are 16-17 and not in education, employment or training, you must go to the Connexions Centre on the Headrow to discuss your options, and also to claim Job Seekers Allowance.   Those 18+ should go to the Job Centre to sort out their Job Seekers Allowance.   You can also visit:-

If you are unable to work there are various different options available to you depending on your age and status:-

§          Incapacity Benefit or for new claimants, Employment Support Allowance

§          Disability Living Allowance

§          or a combination of the above may be available to you

 

You may want to visit http://www.dwp.gov.uk to sort these things out.   They may also be able to help you with a Crisis Loan if you are struggling with your money situation.   Another place to visit in this case would be your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau for a little extra advice and support - http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/
