First Episode Research Network (FERN)

The First Episode Research Network is a collection of NHS and social care organisations involved in the delivery of care to individuals with a first episode of psychosis.   They have all agreed to compare data on the outcomes of the treatment that people are receiving in order to measure what constitutes best practice.

Aspire is a member of FERN.   We will be sending anonymised clinical and statistical data to the network.

Full information will be discussed with aspire clients before taking part in research and consent from clients will be agreed before data is put forward to FERN.   All  individuals have the choice to opt out.   This will not affect the support they receive from the aspire.
